The ballet company of Jersey City Ballet Theater is dedicated to the art of classical and contemporary ballet performance.
The Jersey City Ballet Theater Company (JCBT) is a professional ballet company based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Known for its vibrant performances, the company brings classical ballet to the region with a focus on both traditional and contemporary works.
JCBT provides opportunities for artists to grow and collaborate while also engaging the local community through educational programs, outreach, and performances.
The company aims to celebrate dance as a universal art form, fostering creativity, inclusivity, and excellence in every production.
Jersey City Ballet Theater boasts a growing repertoire of accessible and affordable classical and family-friendly performances. Through our partnerships with emerging choreographers, apprentice and youth company programs, and the inclusion of professional dancers on stage, we are dedicated to our mission of being a cultural resource for Hudson County and beyond.
Jersey City Ballet Theater offers performance opportunities for students of all ages and skill levels, from children to adults. Our diverse programming includes Peter and the Wolf: The Ballet, Dances to the Music of Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas, and our Live Music Series featuring the Jersey City Ballet Chamber Ensemble and Classical Jazz Ensemble. We aim to provide accessible and affordable ballet performances and training programs that enrich the community and foster a deep connection to the ballet arts.
